How many Litres is a standard oven?
What is the capacity of an average sized oven? The average capacity of a single oven is around 60 Litres.
Typically, there are two standard widths: 50cm (slimline) and 60cm (regular), although this can differ depending on the brand. All cookers are designed in line with the standard size of a kitchen unit, measuring approximately 90cm high and 60cm deep (there are some exceptions to this rule).
Measure from the front of the oven to the back to get the depth. If the oven has handles, knobs, or a control panel on the front of it, exclude them from the total depth. Only measure from the flat front of the oven to the back.
Are Built In Ovens All The Same Size? Built in ovens do come in different sizes. These normally relate to the width of the unit. You'll find that they are either 55-65cm wide or 85-95cm wide.
As mentioned earlier, 60 cm cookers are normally a little smaller than 60 cm. This means that the gap between the cooker and the kitchen cabinets should be adequate for both safety and for when you need to remove the appliance for cleaning and maintenance.
Oven capacity is measured in litres – the bigger the feast, the more litres you'll need. 70+ litres - Best for big households of four or more, big eaters, or both. 40 - 70 litres - Should satisfy three to four hungry bellies just fine. 35 - 40 litres - Enough to cook up a storm for one to two people.
Standard wall oven sizes typically run 24, 27 or 30 inches wide. Depth and height remain about the same regardless of width. Most single wall ovens are 27 to 29 inches high. Wall oven depths generally range from 22 to 24 inches to fit within standard cabinets, or 27 total inches when including handles and doors.

Is a 60cm oven big enough?
The standard wall oven width is 60cm, enough to take care of most cooking tasks. Other common widths include 75cm and 90cm, and these units are better suited to families or people who like to entertain.
Overall Dimension: 660 mm x 430 mm x 420 mm. Inner Dimension: 448 mm x 394 mm x 304 mm. Weight : 16.2kg.

If you will typically cook meals for 4 people or less, a 3 or 6 quart size electric pressure cooker should be perfect. If you have a larger family or you like to prepare large roasts or batch cook, you should consider purchasing an 8 quart size.
Step 2: Measure the standard wall oven cutout width
Standard wall oven sizes are 24, 27 or 30 inches wide. Measure the width of the cutout from the left inside cabinet edge to the right inside cabinet edge using a measuring tape to determine what size appliance will fit.
How big should my pressure cooker be? For most meals, an 8 quart pressure cooker is enough. There are smaller pressure cookers -- a 4 quart is probably fine for singles or couples. If you're cooking for a crowd, there are 12-quart contraptions and up from there.
There is no need to leave a gap between your electric cooker and the units. You can use filler pieces (panels) either side if you are worried about inside the units getting warm but its not essential.
PTFE Member. A free standing gas cooker needs 20mm clearance from each of the base units - unless the cooker manufacturer's installation instructions state a different distance.
Requirements for different range cookers
There is usually around a 2.5mm gap each side of the range for the cabinetry. Depending on the model and the cabinet makers, some may require a larger gap (up to 10mm) to protect the cabinetry from heat damage.
Generally, anything over 6 cu. ft. is considered as a large, or mega, capacity for ovens. Standard ovens usually have 4 to 6 cu.
Double wall ovens have the same width and depth as a single wall oven, but the height will be around 51 inches. Capacity will be double the single wall oven, so from 5 to 7 total combined cubic feet for 24-inch-wide wall ovens and 8 to 10 total combined cubic feet for 27 and 30-inch-wide wall ovens.
What is the biggest size of oven?
What are the different sizes of stoves? Stove sizes run from compact, standard and extra-wide sizes. Stove widths run from 20–24 inches for compact, 30–36 inches for standard and 48–60 inches for extra-wide models.
The first thing you need to do is multiply the length by the width by the height. That gives the number of cubic millimetres. To calculate the number of litres, you then divide that number by a million. As an example, let's take a box measuring 406 x 356 x 203mm.
Overall Dimension: 660 mm x 430 mm x 420 mm. Inner Dimension: 448 mm x 394 mm x 304 mm. Weight : 16.2kg.
MEASURE FOR STANDARD WALL OVEN CAPACITY
Expect around 2 to 3.5 cubic feet of interior space for a 24-inch-wide single wall oven and around 4 to 5 cubic feet for a 27 or 30-inch-wide single wall oven.
Measure oven depth from the back wall to the front, accounting for how far the oven door sticks into the interior. Multiply height, width, and depth to get cubic inches of usable capacity. Dividing by 1,728 will give you this number in cubic feet.
